Recently, I put JuiceRX to the test through a one-day juice cleanse, in addition to sampling a few of JuiceRX’s raw foods. JuiceRX offers three different juice cleanses – either the Regular Cleanse, the Green Cleanse, or the Extreme Green Cleanse. One can also create a cleanse through the Custom Cleanse feature. Each cleanse consists of six juices per day. I elected to try the Green Cleanse, as it offered sightly less natural sugars than the Regular Cleanse, but still had the yummy tastes I look for in my juices. After placing my order, my cleanse was delivered to my doorstep in a convenient carrying case that identified the order in which the juices should be consumed.
The following morning, I started my cleanse. My first juice was the Gingerade, made with purified water, lemon, ginger, Vermont maple syrup, and stevia. It not only kick-started my taste buds, but my metabolism as well. I love the spiciness of ginger and really enjoyed the juice. The cleanse was off to a good start.
I brought my next four juices to work with me and stuck them in the refrigerator. I labeled them before I left so I knew in what order to drink them. The second juice was Green Glow, with cucumber, zucchini, fennel, green apple, lemon, celery, sunflower sprouts, watercress, and ginger. This juice contained 9 servings of fruits and vegetables, and thanks to the apple and lemon, was not overly vegetal. The freshness of the ingredients as a result of the cold press process, was evident in this juice.
Next was the aptly named Extreme Green, with zucchini, cucumber, fennel, spinach, parsley, celery, sunflower sprouts, and kale. While this juice was the most vegetal of all of the juices in this cleanse, as it is sugar free and made with no fruit, it was still palatable and I enjoyed the nutrient-dense qualities of this powerful green drink.
This juice was then followed by the Green Lemon Twist, with cucumber, green apple, lemon, spinach, kale, ginger, and stevia. Due to the apple, lemon and stevia in this juice, it was much sweeter than the Extreme Green. I do not think this juice needed the stevia and may have preferred it without it in order to make it even more natural, but it was still good and this juice went down easily and quickly.
The fifth juice, and the final green juice for the day, was the Evening Green, made with cucumber, pear, celery, green apple, kale, cilantro, and lemon. This particular juice is meant to be consumed in the evening as it offers calming and centering qualities after a long day. This juice was smooth and the perfect combination of fruits and vegetables.
My final juice was a creamy and tasty Strawberry ‘n Cream Cashew Milk, made with filtered water, raw cashews, strawberries, Vermont maple syrup, bourbon vanilla bean, stevia, and pink Himalayan sea salt. It was the perfect treat after a day of tasty juices. If every day ended with this cashew milk, it would be a good day.
The Strawberries ‘n Cream Cashew Milk has just been replaced with the Pumpkin Spike Milk, which is extremely seasonal and fantastic. Made with purified water, carrot, sprouted pumpkin seeds, dates, nutmeg, ginger, clove, Koringje cinnamon, Tahitian vanilla bean, stevia, and a pinch of salt, this may be the healthiest pumpkin offering available. Literally, liquid pumpkin pie. I plan to do the cleanse again just for this milk!
I also tried the B+ (Be Positive), made with young coconut water and romaine lettuce. While this juice was initially tough to take down, it is a powerhouse of Vitamins A and C, and I eventually got used to the taste.
As I was enjoying my juice cleanse, I offered my raw foods to my husband, which included a kale salad with lemon hemp dressing. and raw lasagna with pesto and wilted spinach. After promising him that he only needed to try one bite and convincing him that he did not, in fact, have to microwave the lasagna (it is called raw for a reason!), he finally caved and tried both. And guess what, he loved them! He could not believe that the kale salad was dairy free, and thought that the flavors of the lasagna were fantastic. Thank you, JuiceRX, for getting my husband to eat his veggies!
I saved the chocolate pudding for when I was done with the cleanse and was so happy that I did. Made with coconut meat, coconut water, Vermont maple syrup, raw cacao powder, coconut oil, Himalayan sea salt, and bourbon vanilla bean, this pudding was outstanding.
Overall, I was extremely impressed and pleased with my experience with JuiceRX.
